Photocoupler

The working principle is shown in the figure of a 2.4 W constant voltage / constant current (CV / CC) universal input charger power supply, the design uses Power Integrations LinkSwitch series LNK-603DG. This design is suitable for cordless phone base Charger or any similar application with constant voltage/constant current characteristics. This document includes power specifications, circuit diagrams, bill of materials, transformer specifications, printed circuit board layout, and performance data.

The design features an innovative control concept that enables a low component count and a very low cost solution. The primary side control eliminates the secondary side controller and optocoupler constant voltage (CV) accuracy: ± 5%
Constant current (CC) accuracy: ±10%
Overheat protection with hysteresis recovery ensures that the PCB temperature is safely restarted under all conditions: output short circuit and open loop protection

Extremely high efficiency The average efficiency over the entire load range: 75% (ENERGY STAR 2.0 requires 67%)
No-load input energy consumption: <30 mW at 230 VAC input
Ultra-low leakage current: <5 μA at 265 VAC input (no Y capacitor required)
