1. Block via Windows 10 settings

For users who are using the latest version of Windows 10, blocking can be done through system settings.

First, through "Start→Settings", choose to enter the "Personalization" setting window, and then select the "Start" item.

In the "Start" setting list that pops up next, set the switch under "Occasionally show suggestions on the start screen" to "Off". In this way, after uninstalling apps that you no longer use, the system will no longer automatically install these apps.

2. Disable automatic push through the registry

If the Windows 10 version you are using cannot find this setting, or the Windows Home Edition users cannot use Group Policy to disable automatic application push, you can use the Registry Editor to solve the problem.

Open the registry editor and locate the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows" key in sequence. Right-click the item and select "New → Item" in turn.

Rename the newly created item to CloudContent, and create a new DWORD (32-bit) value named DisableWindowsConsumerFeatures in the right pane, and set the "Value Data" to 1. Close the registry editor and restart the system, then the system will no longer automatically install applications and games.

For users whose Windows 10 version is higher than the home version, you can also disable the above features through the Group Policy Editor. Specific method: In the "Application Control Policy" under "Local Security Policy", select "Encapsulate Application Rules", right-click and select "Create New Rule", open the "Create Encapsulated Application Rule" window, and select "Reject" in the permission setting interface ", the application is selected as "Windows Focus", and then click to create a new application packaging rules to replace the system default application push and pre-installation rules.
