Ai Siqiang launches PRODOS-200PVPDTM R&D system

On August 7, Axon launched the new PRODOS-200 PVPD TM system to develop new applications for the deposition of organic thin film materials. Its innovative system concept provides a research and development platform for the study of new deposition processes for polymeric films. In addition, based on its well-proven near-coupling sprinkler technology, its high deposition rate, excellent deposition uniformity and substrate size scalability ensure easy switching of equipment to large-scale production processes.

Therefore, this system can be used for the development of new processes for the application of a wide range of organic electronics. (eg, new flexible conductive layers; control of surface properties; and flexible barrier layers), or improvements to existing processes and structures.



Ai Siqiang said that the new PRODOS system has evolved into a modular, scalable platform for the production of raw materials in a variety of liquid, gaseous or solid forms. It is ideal for a wide range of applications in the field of organic thin films and because of its modular design, it can be applied to a variety of polymerization processes.

PRODOS-200 can be used to implement a variety of PVPD (TM) processes in which a carrier gas based vapor deposition can form a polymeric film in situ for the formation of a functional polymeric film layer. Compared with the conventional solution-based polymerization process conventional, PVPD TM process is a "whole drying process", according to the principle of operation, the solvent will not produce any side effects.

The PRODOS-200 platform accommodates substrates up to 200x200 mm2 and can be integrated into cluster environments via associated semi-compatible interfaces. As a result, the platform is compatible with other Acetron systems such as the OVPD R&D system, combining a wide range of thin film technologies for organic and inorganic thin films for complex process environments. Therefore, this system helps to develop and apply new compounds for the field of organic electronic components (OTFT, OPV, OLED). The system adopts double-walled chamber structure, which not only greatly facilitates maintenance work, but also can be quickly modified according to other process needs.
