It is reported that the current price of general street lamps in Chengdu ranges from several hundred yuan to several thousand yuan, and the average price is more than 1,000 yuan. In contrast, the average price of LED street lamps is about 6,000 yuan. With the current 80,000 street lamps in Chengdu, if the whole number is changed to LED street lights, the market size will be as high as RMB 100 million. Together with other landscape lights, the scale should not be underestimated.
In 2010, Chengdu began to launch the “Ten Cities and Ten Thousands†semiconductor lighting application engineering pilot project, and successively launched LED lighting demonstration projects; in 2011, it will enter the application stage, including Metro Line 1 rail zone and Renmin South Road landmark building. LED lighting projects in the urban areas of Dujiangyan City, and then will enter the deepening pilot stage, according to the LED lighting technology development stage and site application conditions, the implementation of tunnel lighting renovation and other LED lighting demonstration projects.
