On January 4th, Foxconn Technology Group and Henan Nanyang Cooperation Project signed a contract. The Foxconn and Nanyang government signed six cooperation projects: LED cooperation project; urban road LED street lighting energy-saving contract energy management cooperation project; LED street lamp contract energy management service project; Foxconn, China Optical joint venture project; SMT technician training project; mold technician training project.
Guo Taiming pointed out that Nanyang is the third project base launched by Foxconn in Henan, and will focus on the development of the optoelectronic industry including LED displays and projectors. The signing of the contract is a beginning of cooperation between Foxconn and Nanyang. Subsequently, the cooperation will be carried out in all directions, and efforts will be made to build Nanyang into a world-class photovoltaic industry base.
According to Guo Taiming, Foxconn has invested in electronics and logistics industries in Zhengzhou, Henan Province for nearly a year and a half. The Zhengzhou base has more than 100,000 employees and its scale will be further expanded. Luoyang is focusing on the development of precision instrument industry.
