According to the statistics of the traffic police department of Hangzhou, from January to August this year, 88 road accidents involving primary and middle school students occurred in the roads in Hangzhou, killing 6 people and injuring 84 people. Compared with the same period of last year, the number of accidents involving students doubled, and the number of injured people increased by nearly 70%.
The traffic police analyzed that among the six student traffic accident deaths this year, there were 4 primary school students and two middle school students. The accidents were concentrated in the county and city roads. When these children have an accident, some walk, some ride bicycles alone, and some are carried by electric vehicles and motorcycles. In the case of student traffic accident deaths, most of the accidents are caused by the parents, other guardians or the opposite party of the accident.
Promote mobile traffic lights throughout the province
A few days ago, the two halls issued a "Notice on the use of mobile temporary traffic lights on the roads around the school" to all parts of the province.
The notice requires that mobile temporary traffic lights must be installed in the surrounding road sections of the city's main roads, trunk roads or traffic-ridden general roads, as well as roads in front of schools where large traffic accidents have occurred. This signal must be used in conjunction with the crosswalk line and is limited to use during school hours. It is understood that at other times, the signal lights are taken back by the school and do not affect the normal passage of other vehicles at other times.
The reporter saw that the mobile traffic signal combines the motor vehicle indication with the crosswalk indication function and can be flexibly pushed. In addition to the height adjustment, the most important, the traffic light interval can also be adjusted freely.
