The LT3029 is a dual, micropower, low noise, low dropout linear regulator. The device's input voltage range is 1.8V to 20V and can be operated with a common input supply or with a separate input supply per channel. Each output provides up to 500mA of output current and a typical dropout voltage of 300mV. In the differential pressure state, the quiescent current is well controlled. With an external 10nF bypass capacitor, the output noise can be reduced to only 20μVRMS (within 10Hz to 100kHz bandwidth).

Designed for use in battery-powered systems, the device's low quiescent current of 55μA per channel makes it an ideal choice. In shutdown mode, the quiescent current is reduced to less than 1μA. Downtime control is independent for each channel, providing flexibility in power management.

The LT3029 optimizes stability and transient response with low ESR ceramic output capacitors, requiring a minimum capacitance of only 3.3μF. This regulator does not require additional ESR as is common with other regulators.

Internal circuitry provides reverse battery protection, reverse current protection, foldback current limiting, and thermal shutdown. The device can be used as an adjustable output voltage device with a 1.215V reference. The LT3029 is available in a thermally enhanced 16-lead MSOP package and a 16-pin, low profile (4mm x 3mm x 0.75mm) DFN package.
