During the beta test of tvOS 8.2, Apple has been gradually introducing new features. Recently, several new features that are quite useful have been added to the third beta version, including voice dictation and using Siri for App Store searches.
With the new voice dictation feature, Apple TV users can now directly dictate text, user names, and passwords without having to manually enter them. After the upgrade, the system will prompt you to enable or disable the dictation function. After it is turned on, you can press the Siri button on the remote control to turn on text dictation. When talking to the remote control, a live microphone volume prompt appears on the screen to let you know if the dictation function is turned on.
The first version of tvOS has very few options for text input. Users can only enter the password and user name slowly in the screen text input box. Apple then added support for Apple Remote applications and now brings voice dictation and support for Bluetooth keyboards.
Using Siri for App Store search is also one of the latest beta features that allow users to use Siri to find the apps or app categories they need in the App Store. This feature dramatically improves the process of finding applications on the new Apple TV.
In addition, tvOS 9.3 also added support for iCloud photo galleries, Live Photos, and home screen folders, and brought a new app switcher interface.
TvOS 9.2 is currently only tested by developers and the official version is expected to be released this spring with iOS 9.3, OS X 10.11.4 and watchOS 2.2.
