The automobile industry has implemented the national compulsory standards, tracked the development of international automobile regulations, and proposed a plan to amend GB4785-84 in 1993 according to the national standardization work procedures. The State Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision has approved the project. After several years of research and verification, this standard has been reviewed and approved by the Automotive Lighting Subcommittee and is now undergoing approval. The revised GB4785-84 puts more stringent requirements on brake lights, hazard warning signals, front fog lights, rear fog lights, side marker lights, and studies the necessary preparation period to provide technical and production preparation for enterprises.
