Tektronix launched the next-generation DDR3 probing solution for logic debugging and protocol verification. Tektronix TLA7000 series logic analyzers are used to support DDR3-2133 MT / s and DDR3-2400 MT / s. This is currently the highest performance DDR3 protocol test solution on the market.
By introducing a new high-speed DDR3 in-line fixture for the DIMM interface, Tektronix enables customers to reuse their existing TLA7BBx modules to collect all DDR3 speed access, control, command and data signals (from DDR3-800 MT / s To DDR3-2400 MT / s and low voltage DDR3). This new in-line fixture is the first to use Tektronix ultra-high-performance SiGe hybrid ASIC technology to provide true analog insight in each DDR3 I / O channel. Compared with other commercial in-line fixture solutions, this new in-line fixture reduces probe loading to maintain signal integrity.

• The new ICI tool can view DDR3 signals in the form of eye diagrams to help quickly assess bus health, and can also select appropriate sampling points / thresholds for edge systems and non-standard speed systems;
• DDR3 bus traffic that can decode DDR3 bus traffic to display mode register information and DDR3 commands, and DDR3 memory support toolkit that can read and write data;
• The new protocol violation software can provide measurement based on the DDR bus specification parameters collected multiple times, with up to 43 measurement categories; and provide various DDR bus traffic statistical analysis.
TLA7BBx logic analyzer module has the characteristics of synchronous 3.0Gbps state acquisition, 20ps high-speed timing visibility and 3GHz BW analog measurement function; and all based on the same probe. Using the embedded analog multiplexer, users can step through and observe all DDR3 signals on an oscilloscope in less than 10 minutes, thereby gaining insight into the integrity of memory signals. In other words, it may take hours or even days. Engineers can also observe analog oscilloscope waveforms that are time-correlated with the status data collected on the logic analyzer.
