Adjustable positive output three-terminal regulator

CW117 is a three-terminal adjustable positive output integrated voltage regulator. The output voltage can be adjusted from 1.2 to 37V, and the output current can reach 1.5A. Its 1 pin is the adjustment end, the 2 pin is the output end, and the 3 pin is the input end.

The following figure shows the CW117 typical application circuit. R1 and RP form a voltage-regulating resistor network. Adjusting the potentiometer RP can change the output voltage. When the RP boom moves up, the output voltage increases, and when it moves downward, the output voltage decreases.


When the adjustment terminal of CW117 is directly grounded, a fixed low-voltage regulated output of 1.2V can be obtained. The fixed low voltage application circuit is shown in the figure below.



The CW117 can also be used in soft-start power circuits as shown below. When the input power is turned on, there is no voltage on C2, VT is turned on to short-circuit RP, and the output voltage of the regulated power supply is Uo=1.2V. With the charging of C2, VT gradually exits the conduction state, and Uo gradually rises until the end of C2 charging, VT is cut off, and Uo reaches the maximum value. The length of the startup time is determined by R1, R2 and C2. VD provides a discharge path for C2.



CW137 is a three-terminal adjustable negative output integrated voltage regulator. The output voltage can be adjusted from -(1.2-37V) and the output current can reach 1.5A. Its 1 pin is the adjustment end, 2 feet are the input end, and 3 feet are the output end.

The figure below shows the CW137 typical application circuit. Adjusting the potentiometer RP can change the magnitude of the output voltage. When the RP boom moves upward, the absolute value of the output negative voltage increases. When it moves down, the absolute value of the output negative voltage decreases.



The following figure shows a regulated power supply circuit with adjustable positive and negative symmetrical outputs composed of CW117 and CW137. The output voltage is ±(1.2-37V) and the maximum output current is 1.5A. Adjusting the double with the axis potentiometer RP1, the absolute value of the positive and negative output voltages can be changed synchronously.
